NASA flies helicopter to Mars .The first aircraft to fly on an alien planet .

NASA launches Injury Mars helicopter with Perseverance rover successfully completes first flight .With this, Ingenuity became the first manned spacecraft to fly to another planet. The test flight of the helicopter took place at around 1 pm Indian time. NASA has released live information about this. The solar-powered helicopter took off at a pre-determined height of three meters. The helicopter soared for 30 seconds and then landed safely below. Ingenuity's first flight lasted a total of 39.1 seconds.

Fully autonomous based on the algorithms developed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and based on motion control systems and instructions.The first flight of the helicopter was performed.

NASA's Associate Administrator for Science Thomas Sarbachen has announced that the site where the Ingenuity helicopter first flew will now be known as Wright Brothers Field.It was named in honor of the Wright Brothers who flew the first plane on Earth.

There are currently no scientific reconnaissance equipment on the Ingenuity helicopter. This is an experiment for future development of instrumentation that could aid in aerial studies on Mars .
